Visiting my friend Julie
Julie and I met in Manila. We work in the same company as a writer. I don’t know how we became friends but it just happened.
Our fondest memories of each other were going to Divisoria every payday and window shop all day. We would go around after our shift and go straight to Divisoria.
The only thing that annoys me is that she eats less than me haha. I eat a lot, I mean a looooooot. I always eat rice, who doesn’t love rice? I’m Filipino for crying out loud.
We both left the Philippines to go abroad in 2012. Julie immigrated to the US while I went to Dubai to work. Somehow we lost connection on those years. We reconnected when I moved to New York in 2014.
I flew in September 2019 to California to visit her. Aside from visiting her, I wanted to take a break from work and the big city. Julies husband David was kind enough to pick me up at the airport that day. When we first see each other after so many years. It seems like nothing has changed. It was like yesterday.
Waiting for my flight.
Our walk in the park before going to Napa Valley.
It was so hot that time that my legs experience all the rushes.
In Reno
Julie cant believe how slow I move now. What can I say? We are in our 30’s
So this was my last day. The need to take the picture with the dogs haha
