About me
Paula M. Morandarte is a film maker and photographer living and working in New York. She is a graduate of Motion Pictures Production at the Asia Pacific Film Institute. She has worked in various independent films in the Philippines before moving to Dubai to work as a corporate and fashion filmmaker. While in UAE she reconnects with her passion for photography. And was able to work with other great photographers.
As an artist, her hunger to excel, and motivation to grow made her take the leap of fate by moving to the Big Apple. Paula took up Conservatory Photography at the New York Film Academy.
In 2015 she landed a job as an in-house photographer for a lifestyle magazine. She was also given the opportunity to work as a camera operator and master editor in a reality tv show iAmFilam that was aired in The Filipino Channel. In 2016, Paula decided to test the water as a full-time freelancer where she has the freedom to work on his own projects and try different genres
After exploring various creative avenues as an artist and working behind as a camera operator for nearly 14 years, Paula has shifted her focus to producing short films, digital content, and projects centered around real-life situations and inspiring stories. Driven by her commitment to transition into the roles of producer and photojournalist, Paula pursued further education, earning a degree in Entertainment Business. This spring, she will be continuing her academic journey by pursuing a Master’s degree.
