Aladdin in Broadway
"I can show you the world, shining, shimmering, splendid..." Every time I hear those words, I’m whisked away to a place where dreams truly come alive. That’s why seeing Aladdin on Broadway felt like a long-held dream finally coming true for me.
Last month, my husband and I had the chance to experience it together, and I still can’t believe how magical it was. As we settled into our seats—perfectly centered—I felt a rush of excitement bubbling inside me. The stage was smaller than I expected, but it pulsed with an energy that captivated the entire theater. I found myself mentally comparing every scene to the animated classic I grew up loving, but the live performance had a spark of its own.
The costumes were stunning, each detail more vibrant than the last. But the moment that truly stole my breath was when they sang, "A Whole New World." I was utterly mesmerized—the flying carpet gliding gracefully, the stars twinkling above. I couldn’t help but get lost in the moment, and my husband, noticing my wide-eyed wonder, teased me about looking like a kid again. He was right; I felt that pure joy wash over me, just like when I was a child watching the movie for the first time.
Every laugh, every gasp, every little bit of magic made it all worth it. As we walked out of the theater, our hearts felt lighter and our spirits soared, as if we’d just taken our own ride on that magic carpet. It was an experience I’ll cherish forever.
